“Good health, strong faith along with a solid support system goes a long ways.”
Like I said in the very first post of this blog, I’ve lost 40 lbs in 3 months while at the same time calming my Acid Reflux / Gastritis / GERD. Hey, I’m Dann Petty, a pro surfer (web), entrepreneur, web designer, husband, believer and survivor of the heart attack mimic symptom. I wanted to write this blog for a few reasons. When I first was diagnosed with Acid Reflux / Gastritis / GERD, I had no clue what to do. I devoured Google searches trying to find the best resources and they all pretty much said the same exact words as if they were just copied and pasted. No where was there new information about these diseases. I spent months and months of trial and error of different diets until I found this perfect one. In return for my gratitude and because I don’t want you to have to devour Google as I did, I’m sharing my knowledge I gained through all of this. Let’s just say I wish I knew then what I know now.
One thing I always wanted to do was loose some weight and get in shape. No lie, I use to pay almost $2,000 a month for a personal trainer in San Diego and never once did I gain any nutritional guidance. The core of dieting is nutrition. The core of getting in shape is nutrition. The core of staying healthy is nutrition. Since this is so important, why are we always ignoring it? This blog isn’t going to tell you how to pack on pounds of muscle, but it will give some ideas on how to shed some fat.
When I was discovering my diet I wanted to make sure I created a plan that involved foods I enjoy to eat. My diet now revolves around a few basic ingredients like lean meats (of course), peanut butter (yum), granola (so tasty), acai berries (the best), wheat grass shots (eh, it’ll grow on you) and tons of water. Obviously I eat more than that, but those items are the core.
Right now, this blog is about tips and certain things I’ve done in order to lose weight and calm my Acid Reflux / Gastritis / GERD. Here soon, I will be posting a full diet plan that I’ve created in which you can follow a long with me. It’s going to be a tasty road ahead of us!
